Summary:

Sticky BuddyI love to wear dark colors (lots of basic black) but I hate constantly worrying about pet hair and lint. Both can really spoil a great look. Until recently, my solution was to buy 10-packs of lint rollers. Thing is, I hated those things: The tape never peeled off easily and they just weren’t very good at taking care of embedded fur on upholstery. I also didn’t like what all that wasted paper did to the environment.

Still, I didn’t think I had any alternatives. So I kept on using my regular lint rollers until a friend who has several pets told me about the Sticky Buddy. She explained that while it worked like a regular lint roller, it didn’t use low-tack paper. Instead, it’s made of a special, sticky silicone that glides over any surface, picking up lint, dust and fur. To clean, all I’d have to do is rinse it off.

I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try anyway. Believe it or not, it actually works. . .I’m so happy with mine that I plan to give Sticky Buddys to my friends and family for Christmas.

How It Works

Sticky Buddy is made from a sticky silicone that rinses clean. You don’t have to throw out a Sticky Buddy roller after you use it. Just rinse it, dry it and use it again. Otherwise, it looks like a regular lint roller except for the addition of a brush. The brush helps to dig up embedded lint and fur so that you can easily sweep it away. The other cool thing is that the Sticky Buddy comes in two sizes. I keep the small one in my desk at work for use before I go in for a meeting or leaving work to enjoy an evening with friends. The larger one stays at home so that I can use it for larger jobs.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Sticky Buddy isn’t perfect, though I have to say that I much prefer it to regular lint rollers. It has a lot of good points that definitely outweigh the bad:

Pros:

  • Sticky silicone is safe to use on any fabric.
  • Easy to clean: Just rinse and dry and it is sticky again.
  • Use Sticky Buddy to save trees, no more paper waste!
  • Attached brush helps to dig up embedded hair and lint for easy removal.

Cons:

  • Short handle means that it isn’t easy to use for house cleaning in higher areas.
  • You have to rinse it after each use, making it difficult to use in situations where there is no access to running water.

Where to Buy

I recommend getting yours online, through the official Sticky Buddy website. You’ll have access to toll-free customer service and get a money back guarantee. Plus they are currently running an offer where if you buy one Sticky Buddy you get one free and they also throw in 2 compact Sticky Buddys as well. We haven’t seen this on any other sites or in any stores.

Final Recommendation

The Sticky Buddy works really well and I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t at least try it in your home. It is a great way of keeping your furniture clean without hiring a professional upholstery cleaner. Plus, you can keep your clothes looking great!
